Video Conferencing

Overview

Section edited by Michael Summerfield

Video conferencing allows workshops to be broadcast via the internet. The format can be either one-way, where the students can view it, but not actively participate; or two-way, where teacher and students can interact with one another. The Adventure of the American Mind Video Conferencing system is capable of both types of interaction.

Quotes from AAM Teachers:

"If we lead them to useful tools and present them in passionate and engaging ways, the spark will be ignited in many students to pursue further exploration. Students are much more excited about and engaged in topics of study in which their teacher shows interest. Our passion for our work and our chosen tools (web sites, texts, novels, video, etc.) is obvious to our students."

Nora Tesmond, Teacher - Loyola University AAM Participant
